Cam site cost: a platform and a team that grows with you
We don't publish a fixed price list, because every project differs in scale, jurisdiction, and infrastructure requirements.
An individually sized configuration
Architecture and feature set are chosen for your project's scale and market, not sold as a one-size-fits-all package.
A team, not a license
You get more than a one-off code purchase — a team that implements, supports, and develops the platform alongside your business.
Ongoing support
Pricing includes support throughout the partnership — from launch through scaling for growing load.
The cost of working together is sized individually during the consultation: we account for expected load, the compliance configuration you need, payment integrations, and the level of ongoing support your team needs. That lets us propose a configuration that fits your actual project rather than an averaged rate card.
How much does a cam site cost?
The cost of a turnkey cam site on the Krona.Chat platform has three parts:
- Launch — a one-off fee for deploying the platform and setting up the infrastructure, payment processing and your brand.
- Monthly platform rental — a percentage of customer payments with a monthly minimum, so you pay more only when you earn more. Rental includes support: bug fixes and security updates.
- Custom work for your project — billed by the hour. We discuss every task up front and give a preliminary estimate in hours before work starts.
Separately from the platform, the business has its own costs: servers and bandwidth (estimate them with the server calculator), payment processing fees, marketing and staff. To weigh costs against potential revenue, try the cam site income calculator.
What drives the price of a webcam platform
- the number of models, concurrent broadcasts and viewers — this sets the load and the infrastructure;
- geography and jurisdictions: compliance requirements, performer verification and, if needed, visitor age verification;
- payment integrations: a primary and a backup processor for the adult segment;
- design and customisation: the standard responsive version or your own landing pages and chat room design;
- hosting: our infrastructure or your own servers (the Enterprise option);
- how much custom work you plan per month.
A cam site isn't a one-off purchase — it's a business that needs ongoing work
An online cam platform for customers runs around the clock, takes payments and streams live video to thousands of viewers. So when you estimate what a cam site costs, count not only the launch but also the ongoing work in two areas.
Technical operations
- load and scaling: more broadcasts and viewers, WebRTC streams distributed across regions;
- security: updates, protection against intrusions and DDoS attacks, backups;
- fraud: fraudulent payments, chargebacks, multi-accounting, promo-credit abuse;
- reliable payment acceptance and backup processors;
- compliance: performer verification, complaints and content removal, DMCA.
Marketing and growth
- customer traffic: SEO, webmasters and affiliate networks, advertising;
- recruiting models and webcam studios;
- recruiting partners: an affiliate program with RevShare, CPA or hybrid payouts;
- conversion metrics: visitor to sign-up, sign-up to first purchase, repeat purchases, share of active models.
We take care of the platform's technical side and develop it together with your project. Driving traffic is the business owner's job, but we support marketing on the technical side too: we help raise traffic conversion — refining landing pages and the funnel from sign-up to first and repeat purchases, setting up analytics and the partner tools (affiliate program, statistics, promotional credits, Premium). Plan a budget for attracting customers, models and partners from day one.
Ready-made video chat script, building from scratch or renting a platform
- Buying a ready-made video chat script is cheaper at the start, but security, updates, load and integrations are entirely on you, and growth is capped by a single server.
- Building a cam site from scratch gives full control, but takes many months of your own team's work and carries risk at every stage: video, payments, compliance.
- Renting the Krona.Chat platform with a team means a fast launch on proven technology, predictable monthly costs and a team that supports and develops the product.
There are no ready-made adult cam platforms on the market with media-stream load balancing on a free WebRTC media server. All known off-the-shelf solutions are single-server: as broadcasts and viewers grow, you can't scale them by adding servers, and the business hits the ceiling of one machine.
Krona.Chat uses free, open-source Janus media servers, and the platform itself distributes WebRTC streams across them by region — that's our own development, not a Janus feature. To handle more load you add media servers: no media-server licence fees and no migration to another platform. More on the technology & WebRTC page.
Pricing questions
Why isn't pricing listed on the site?
Cost depends on scale (number of models and broadcasts), the compliance requirements of your jurisdiction, and the payment integrations you choose. A fixed price list wouldn't reflect that honestly.
How much does it cost to build a turnkey cam site?
The cost is a one-off launch fee, a monthly platform rental (a percentage of customer payments with a monthly minimum) and hourly custom work for your project. We give an exact estimate after the consultation, once scale, regions, payment integrations and the amount of customisation are clear.
What are the running costs after launch?
Platform rental, servers and bandwidth, payment processing fees, custom work, and marketing: attracting customers, models and partners. A cam site is a business that runs continuously and needs both technical operations (load, security, fraud prevention) and work on traffic and conversion.
What's included beyond the launch?
Beyond deploying the platform — technical support, bug fixes and security updates, feature work for your specific needs, and scaling the infrastructure as your business grows.
How long does it take from inquiry to launch?
The minimum is 4 weeks; depending on the size of the project, a launch takes from 4 weeks to 6 months. The base platform in one geo-location takes 1–1.5 months, with customisation about 3–3.5 months, and a deployment across several geo-locations about 6 months. We give an exact timeline after the consultation, once requirements are clear.
Do I need to handle the cam site's marketing myself?
Yes — attracting customers, models and partners is the business owner's job, and revenue depends on it directly. The platform gives you the tools: an affiliate program (RevShare, CPA or hybrid), statistics, promotional credits and Premium. On the technical side we help raise traffic conversion: refining landing pages and the purchase funnel, setting up analytics. Budget for marketing alongside the launch budget.
Can the platform run on our own servers?
Yes. With the Enterprise option the platform is installed on your own servers with full root access and a non-exclusive licence with source-code access. Support — bug fixes and security updates — is still included in the rental fee.
